Sawty creates augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) aids for people with complex communication needs. All solutions are co-created with users and practitioners early in the ideation and inception phases. Our approach and philosophy are grounded in the solid scientific understanding of the physical and cognitive challenges of individuals with speech and language impairments and aligned with the participatory design models.

Sawty App

Giving a VOICE to the voiceless

Sawty is a mobile application that aids people with speech and language disorders (e.g. autism) to express their needs and feelings by forming audible picture-based sentences in Arabic. The pictures used are adapted to the Arabic language and culture. In Sawty, we design collaboratively with clinicians to meet the exact needs of our consumers.
